The UNESCO world heritage Schweizer Alpen Jungfrau-Aletsch is a unique evidence of the alpine mountain formation with global significance. The largest connected glacier massif of Eurasia shapes this landscape of extraordinary beauty and diversity. The habitat is characterized by high ecological and cultural values. By being considerate, you, too, contribute to maintaining the Jungfrau-Aletsch region that was added to the world heritage list by the UNESCO in 2001 as the first area of the Alpine region. It plays in the same league as the Yosemite National Park, Everglades, Ayers-Rock or Kilimanjaro. The two municipalities of Goms, Fieschertal and Bellwald, together with the other 24 world heritage communities have accepted the commitment to sustainable development. The Eggishorn offers a unique panoramic view on the UNESCO Welterbe Schweizer Alpen Jungfrau-Aletsch. www.jungfraualetsch.ch
